Iphone Water Damage Repair: Apple’s New Self-Repair Feature
Apple’s latest idea for a new self-repair technology could change the scope of the smartphone business. Specifically, the proposal of iPhone water damage repair performed by the phone itself could potentially eliminate the need for external phone repair.
Smartphones are known for their susceptibility to water damage, mainly due to their constant usage.
Smartphones can be as technologically fragile as computers or iPad’s, yet due to their small size they are used more often and are usually on the user at all times.
This inevitably exposes them to all kinds of wear and tear, a primary cause being the water damage that can occur through rain, sweat, and spills.
While this new feature is unlikely to repair the damage done by dropping an iPhone in a pool, it promises to be effective in reducing the small amounts of water accumulation any smartphone is susceptible to absorbing during general use.
iPhone water damage repair can be expensive and can often result in the iPhone having to be replaced entirely. With iPhone screen repairs, the screen can simply be replaced. However iPhone water damage repair often entails damage to the entire phone.
How will Apple’s new feature help iPhone water damage repair?
Apple’s patent proposes a new technology that would eliminate any moisture from the phone through producing a distinct tone through the speaker.
In order to avoid user interference, the feature would be able to detect when the iPhones owner is away from the iPhone, such as when they are asleep.
The new feature may even be able to detect when the phones owner is in a loud environment where the noise would not annoy them, and emit the noise then in order to eliminate the water damage.
This feature would be seamless, and would mean that the iPhone would repair itself without the user even knowing any damage had occurred.
Such a feature could eliminate the need for phone repair entirely, as much of the moisture incurred by iPhones result in the eventual need for iPhone water damage repair.
